The Road to Darien

Portraits of those living in the path of a road being built toward the Darien Gap, a sixty square mile patch of roadless jungle in the southernmost province of Panama, which has resisted encroachment since the sixteenth century, remaining the missing link in the 16,000 mile intercontinental Pan-American Highway.
